Rational Taxpayer's recommends voting Yes

Shall the Town of Hampton vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $91 ,000 for the purchase of a trash ejection trailer required for over the highway transportation and disposal of solid wastes and recycling collected at the Transfer Station. This shall be a non-lapsing appropriation per RSA 32:7, VI and shall not lapse until this project is completed or by March 31, 2020, whichever is sooner. (Majority vote required)

Fiscal Impact Note (Finance Dept.) The estimated 2019 tax impact on $91,000 is $0.027 per $1,000 valuation (two point seven cents per thousand dollars of valuation).

To much money for something that is to be used for less than 10 days a year as explained in public several times. For example July 4th, Labor day and some real hot weekends when the beach is mobbed. A used or second hand one was not pursued ( at least not mentioned) and no creative thinking was used on this need, just buy a new one! It's essentially going to be a temporary storage container ( a big one at that ) while the existing containers are in transit to and from their respective disposal sites. Let them get creative and think on this. Vote no on this request.
